So I moved out of corporate housing and into my new apartment in a complex called Chapel Hill on the far west side of town (basically where there stops being any major roads) on March 2nd. It was a pretty hectic move, and I'm glad I allotted a whole day for it, otherwise the stress probably woulda been killer. So the movers came and dropped off a bunch of stuff that my parents had packed up to have shipped to me from Texas. And MAN, they gave me like a bajillion freaking nightstands/dressers, hahah.

But yea, some of the boxes that my parents had shipped to me from Texas had been sealed with stickers labeled "property of U.S. government personnel. Tampering or unauthorized removal of this seal is subject to prosecution under local and U.S. federal laws"... it made me feel so important and powerful, hehehe. (I guess I should explain that on a day-to-day basis, I usually don't consider myself to be "government personnel", though I guess by some stretch of imagination I kiiiiinda work under the Department of Energy. Anyways, I was amused since it seemed like an exaggeration or tall tale of some sort; it's like when you're a kid and u tell your friends u do karate, to the bullies they'll be like "ooooh, he's a master, don't mess with him, he'll kill you with one punch" even though u've only taken like one lesson... it's like that, hah.)

But yea, Yi-Lin and his gf came and visited the week of the move, so we hung out some. I went out and gambled with them on a weeknight and stayed out till like 2, then woke up at like 6 something for work the next day- felt awful, hah. And I took 'em to a tapas place off the Strip called Firefly* that was pretty good too. And we went and saw the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur, haha- it was one of those Medieval Times kinda things where you eat with your hands and all. Heh, it woulda been a lot cooler if we were like 8 years old, but it was still pretty amusing cuz we got pretty into it with the whole grunting and cheering thing, hah.

I went and got myself a Nevada state driver's license on St. Patrick's Day (3/19). I actually went to the DMV the 1st time on the 18th, but if you're under like 25, they make you take a written test, and omg, I failed it, hahaha. Seriously, like some of these rules don't exist in Texas (like we don't have roundabouts or green curbs)! So yea, I studied hard for a night and went back the next day and aced it. But yea, they confiscated my old Texas license, which was kinda saddening, cuz I've kept all my prior ones.

*Went to Shadow Lounge (inside Caesar's) and Tabu (inside MGM) with a coworker and posse on 2 separate nights of a weekend (3/23&24). Don't remember much of Shadow Lounge; Tabu was ok inside, but mostly an older crowd. But yea, the reason I don't remember much of Shadow Lounge is cuz we stopped by Fat Tuesday's (inside Aladdin) first, and they make those humongo drinks, and you can get it with extra grain alcohol, and I took a couple shots of the grain alcohol straight up... umm, yea... gaps in my memory from that night.
