I got this splinter in my foot from the wood floor in my room a couple days ago. I decided to do a little amateur surgery, so I went and bought myself some medical supplies and an exacto knife. But it turns out that exacto knives aren't nearly as sharp as I thought. I thought it was like *shing* there goes a finger. But yea, so I was cutting away, but the blade was simply unable to slice through the tough, callused, footly flesh. So after digging around for a bit, the blood started flowing and clouding everything up, and before I knew it I couldn't see the wooden splinter anymore. I called it quits- surgery failed. So I just globbed some neosporin on it and forgot about it. And for a few days, it seemed fine. Then today, it started hurting like crazy; I could barely walk. Nyaaggghhhh... I guess I'll swing by the SSB medical when I get a chance. It'd be kinda bitterly ironic if it got infected and turned gangrenous and they had to amputate my leg cuz of a splinter.

*Ok, so one of the bathroom stalls on my floor has this weird inscription carved into the door. And for all of last year, I tried (with no success) to translate the arcane message. A few days after coming back to campus, I once again found myself sitting in front of this cryptic text. But this time, it dawn on me that the message didn't require translation at all, but rather decoding. It turned out that the inscription was plain English that had been disguised to look like something else. And just what did the message say? (...it's not appropriate.) =P

So school starts today. Second year of college. Blah. I'm really pretty worried to tell the truth... I looked through my textbooks and they all look so hard! =( Here's what my schedule looks like:

EE331K - Elec Circuits and Electronics; MWF 10-11
ASE221K - Structural Analysis; MW 12-1P
M427L - Adv. Calc. for Apps. 2 (Vector Calc); MW 3-4P, TTH 9:30-11
ASE366K - Spacecraft Dynamics; TTH 11-12:30P
ASE330M - Linear Systems Analysis; TTH 12:30-2P
PED106C - Weight Training; TTH 3-4:30P
ASE121M - Structural Analysis Lab; TH 6:30-9:30P

*Ok, so I don't forget, here's some of the stuff I did this summer... Movies watched: The Hulk, Pirates of the Carribean, Bad Boys II (twice), Tomb Raider 2, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Holes, Chicago, Down with Love, Finding Nemo. Anime/Series watched: the rest of Kenshin, Fruitsbasket, Initial D, Scryed, Great Teacher Onizuka (live-action), Meteor Garden. Went and watched a Frisco Rough Riders (minor league baseball) game. Volunteered at Taiji Legacy; apparently volunteering is just as stressful (if not more) as competing. Took government 2 at CCCC.

(add more as I think of it)

leaving for hk/taiwan today... be back right before school starts

*Ended up staying only 3 days in Hong Kong. Apparently there's not a whole lot to do but shop- but the shopping is pretty good. Man, never put off till Taiwan what you can get in Hong Kong- I regret it muchly. =/ Oh yea, and one of my previously chubby cousins has gotten remarkably skinny. He could be like a Jenny Craig success story or something, it's so crazy. Another one of my cousins was telling me to open up a Chinese-style fried chicken store here in the states. It's good, but I don't think the American market's ready for it. However, I do think there's a market for the shaved milk ice (snowflake); it's like regular shaved ice, except that it's frozen milk instead (I think)- it's really good. I think that would sell well here in the states. Man, if only I had that entrepreneurial spirit.
