I was in Taiwan & Bali this past week for my cousin's wedding. The wedding was in Bali, but I met up with the whole extended family in Taiwan and chilled there a couple days before heading over to Indonesia together.

Taiwan was ok I guess. Went out a couple times in Taipei with my brother's friends who are working there now. My brother's gotten in the habit of getting a table at clubs and doing bottle service, and I guess if you're gonna be drinking a lot, that IS a pretty good way to go. But yea, we went to Brown Sugar, Kama Lounge, and some other place I don't remember the name of near Warner Village. Also met some of my "cousins" for the 1st time as well; though I guess if you wanna get technical, I'm like their 2nd or 3rd uncle or something- but they're like the same age, so it's less complicated to think of them as cousins, hah.

Bali was pretty cool. We went to the beach and went rafting and did some pretty cool outdoorsy stuff while we were there. But yea, other than that, not a whole lot particularly worth mentioning. It's basically exactly what you'd expect. The wedding ceremony took place just before sunset on like this cliff overlooking the shore, and it was totally picturesque, like totally out of a tourism brochure... but what the pictures wouldn't tell you is that it was freaking hot and HUMID as hell. Everyone was sweating their butts off (especially in our suits).

Oh, one funny story though, the day after the wedding, I went with my parents' tour group, and they took us to a temple that they SAID was the famous "water temple of Bali," but I looked online a couple days later, and it turns out they took us to ANOTHER temple surrounded by water that wasn't the really famous one, hahaha. I guess they figured the stupid tourists wouldn't know the difference, hahah- and it's true, they had me completely fooled until I looked online, heh.

But yea, so I didn't take very many pictures on the trip, since I figured I'd just get pictures later from other people, but now I can't remember who took what pictures, and then I end up with like NO pictures, hah. Man, seriously, like I have a camera and all, but it still doesn't come natural for me to haul it around and actually use it, bleh.

But yea, so I left Bali Saturday afternoon and was flying or in airports for around 24 hours straight before I got back to Las Vegas. And while stopping over in LA, I get a call from a coworker telling me to go clubbing that night. I debated it pretty hard but eventually ended up going straight to Studio 54 (inside MGM) from the Las Vegas airport. It was pretty fun, but man, I was sooooo jetlagged at work like all week, it was awful, hahah. I felt like I needed another vacation to recover from this vacation, heh.
