I was just thinking about the (theoretical) Higgs particle- the particle predicted by the Electroweak theory that's supposed to give everything mass (scientists haven't proved its existence yet). Well, anyway, I was thinking about it at lunch today, and I just thought that if somehow you could (magically) strip the Higgs particles off of an object at the quark/lepton level, it would then be possible to do some pretty amazing stuff. For instance, a massless object could be accelerated to the speed of light, you could undo the effects of inertia/momentum, and we could finally create true "hover" vehicles. I dunno if all this is even possible though... probably not, haha. If I ever study quantum physics in the future, I'll probably look back on this idea and laugh at how absurd it is...
